				Overview:

CT Technologist 

As a CT Technologist you will perform technical diagnostic CT imaging procedures.  Every day you will review and verify physician's orders, perform CT exams, communicate and involve patient of the diagnostic test and  start Patient IVs.

Responsibilities:

*  Performs CT exams 
*  Prepares equipment
* Equipment and room maintenance after each procedure
*  Completes all quality checks and Ensures that equipment logs are maintained  
*  Reviews the physician orders to verify the type of diagnostic test requested 
* Inform patient of diagnostic procedure being performed

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

* Education:  High School Dioloma/GED required

* Experience:  No prior experience required

Required Licensure and Certifications

* Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic  Technologists - ARRT (R) upon hire or transfer
* Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic  Technologists - ARRT (CT) within 9 months of hire or transfer
* Certified by the state of Texas ‐ MRAD upon hire or transfer  
* BLS-CPR, 14 day grace period

Preferred Education and Experience

* Education:  Associates Degree preferred.  

* Experience:  One (1) year of experience as a radiographer or one (1) year of radiography clinical rotation experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
