What You Can Expect: 

* Schedule: Flex/PRN to support CT and X-Ray coverage from 7pm-7am (night shift pay differential applied!)
* Peak season on-call for weekend OR procedures divided evenly throughout team- limited on call required throughout the year! 
* Variation of work between outpatient, inpatient, and ED 
* Toshiba equipment  
* Critical Access Hospital with opportunity to cross train to different modalities.  Staff pride themselves on their close-knit relationships with strong support of one another, an interdisciplinary approach to care, and environment where teamwork is essential  

Minimum Qualifications for this Role: 

* Education: Associate degree or experience in lieu of degree
* Licenses/Certifications:
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification.
* Computed Tomographic (CT) certification.

Responsibilities:

The CT Technologist performs computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury using a CT scanning device according to protocols established by radiologists.

* Technologists will educate patient, family or provider as to the extent and detail of each procedure, including informed consent as well as pre-and post-procedure instructions.
* Technologist is responsible for the preparation of an adequate, complete, and current medical record for every individual evaluated.
* Collect key information from the patient, family, provider, and nurses that are specific to the exam being performed in order to assist the provider in the proper diagnosis.
* Educate patient, family or provider as to the extent and detail of each procedure, including informed consent as well as pre-and post-procedure instructions.
* Ensure the proper exam is being administered to the patient. Consult ordering provider as needed.
* Assist provider during interventional and invasive procedures.
* Administer oral and IV contrast prior to procedures.
* Maintain proper inventory levels of all supplies as required.
* Perform daily equipment inspections.
* Participate in call rotation as needed.
* May be responsible for CT testing/accreditation requirements, site specific.
* Practice guidelines specific to ALARA policy (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) and Image Gently Initiatives.
* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
