Overview:
Responsibilities:
* Set up Swiss CNC lathes (Star or similar) including tooling, offsets, and program loading.
* Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T symbols, and work instructions.
* Perform first-piece inspections and make necessary adjustments to maintain tolerances.
* Monitor machine operations, tool wear, and part quality during production runs.
* Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues quickly to minimize downtime.
* Conduct routine maintenance and ensure machines are in good working condition.
* Document setups, process changes, and inspection results per company standards.
* Collaborate with programmers, quality inspectors, and production leads to optimize efficiency.
* Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of Swiss CNC machine setup experience (Star, etc.).
* Strong understanding of CNC programming concepts and tooling applications.
* Proficient in reading blueprints and applying GD&T.
* Skilled in precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, etc.).
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
* Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude.
* College Degree or significant work experience
* Competitive salary based on experience: $60,000-$90,000 per year.
