Overview:
Excellent opportunity for an experienced full time CNC Programmer to join the Selux team responsible for building high end architectural light fixtures. Monday - Thursday, 6am-4:30pm, OT available. Paid time off, paid holidays and full benefits.
Salary: $25 - 40/hr
Responsibilities:
* Interpret blueprints, CAD files, and engineering drawings to create accurate CNC programs.
* Perform proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories to be used on projects
* Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs for:
* Hypertherm plasma cutting systems
* Kitamura 4-axis milling machines
* Traditional turret punches and press brakes
* Set up machines, verify tool paths, and conduct trial runs to ensure parts meet Selux quality standards.
* Troubleshoot programming and machining issues to maintain production efficiency.
* Collaborate with engineers, production supervisors, and machinists to optimize processes and reduce waste.
* Maintain accurate documentation of programs, machine setups, and revisions.
* Recommend improvements in programming methods, tooling, and machining strategies.
* Carry out production, inspection and machine operation duties
* Effectively monitor production equipment
* Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management
* Ensure that every machine procedure is done in accordance with the guidelines
* Practice and follow safety protocols
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in CNC programming for plasma cutters, milling machines, and press brakes.
* Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Mastercam, or similar).
* Strong understanding of G-code and machine-specific programming languages.
* Experience with 4-axis milling and multi-axis setups.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of material properties, metal fabrication, and machining processes.
* Knowledge of machine maintenance and operation; working with gauges/calipers
* Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints
* Ability to lift 50 pounds
