About Boise Antepartum Unit
Care for pregnant women and their families who are experiencing these complications while pregnant is done by specially trained nurses
on our Antepartum unit. This is the place where patients know they are the center of the healthcare team, and long term care relationships are developed and nurtured.
What you can expect from this role
* Full Time Night Shift - 0.9 FTE (3x12 hour shifts/week)
* Hours are typically 1900 - 0730 with variable days and weekends
* Through documentation and oral communication, essential information is shared with health care team members and others common to the unit/area(s) of assignment
* Shift differential pay offered (Nights and Weekends)
* Eligible to apply for scholarships to pursue nursing education
Qualifications
Licenses/Certifications:
* Current CNA Certification in the State of Practice OR Nurse Apprentice letter
* American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification
Responsibilities:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) 2, assists nursing personnel in providing patient care in assigned areas. Performs other skills/tasks as identified by the unit/department that require a unique body of knowledge/skills.
* Performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.
* Documents information in patient record.
* Performs various direct patient care activities under direction of licensed patient care provider.
* Communicates information with patient care providers and other nursing staff members to facilitate patient care.
* Assists physicians and other nursing staff members with procedures as appropriate.
* Performs tasks and procedures as ordered by the physician or licensed provider consistent with approved protocols, policies, and procedures.
* Performs tasks that require a unique body of knowledge and skills for that area of service.
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Education: No Education Required
* Experience: 6 months experience
* Licenses/Certifications: Current CNA Certification in the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
