Responsibilities:

As a Certified Nurse Assistant, you are a critical part of our healthcare family, directly impacting patient comfort, safety, and recovery. Working under the direction of our Registered Nurses, you'll be instrumental in ensuring an exceptional patient experience.

Every day presents an opportunity to provide essential, compassionate care and actively contribute to each patient's journey. Your responsibilities will include:

* Holistic Patient Nurturing: Provide comprehensive personal care, including assistance with feeding, hygiene, mobility (ambulation, transfers), and maintaining a clean, comfortable environment. You'll adapt care to individual patient needs and scope of practice.
* Diligent Monitoring: Accurately take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiratory rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation) and patient measurements (height/weight). You'll be our eyes and ears, observing and reporting any changes in a patient's status.
* Seamless Patient Support: Assist nurses with admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring patients and their families feel welcomed, informed, and comfortable. This includes helping with belongings and safe transportation.
* Clinical Support & Efficiency: Obtain and label various samples (e.g., urine, stool, sputum) and transport blood products, contributing to efficient diagnostic processes.
* Preparation & Assistance: Prepare patients, equipment, and supplies for procedures, guiding patients through the process and assisting with movement and positioning for optimal comfort and safety.
* Collaborative Documentation: Share crucial patient observations with the nursing staff for the interdisciplinary plan of care, meticulously documenting relevant data according to unit standards.

Qualifications:

Required

* High school Diploma or equivalent required. 
* Certified Nursing Assistant issued by the state of North Dakota
* Basic Life Support (BLS) to be obtained within 30 days of start date

Preferred

* Experience in inpatient medical/surgical setting
