Overview: POSITION SUMMARY: The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs. Qualifications: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Licensure/ Certification: CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment.
