Overview: POSITION SUMMARY: The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs. Qualifications: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant *Candidates without their CNA- Certified Nurses Assistant license may be considered for an Uncertified Nursing Assistant role with the requirement of at least a High school diploma/ GED * CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * High School Diploma or GED Experience * 6 months experience in a clinical healthcare environment * 6 months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
