Position Overview
As a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play an essential role in providing direct, hands-on care to patients in the comfort of their homes. You will work closely with patients, families, and the hospice care team to provide quality and personalized care that addresses both physical and emotional needs.
This role requires a compassionate professional who can work both independently and as part of a team, with strong communication, interpersonal skills, and a deep passion for caring for end-of-life patients.
What You Can Expect:
* Required to travel/provide in home care to patients within McCall and it's surrounding areas (Adams County, Idaho County, Valley County)
* The schedule is Monday - Friday generally from 8:30am - 5:00pm with rotating weekends and evening call.
* Eligible to apply for scholarships to pursue nursing education
* Pay Differential may apply for this opening based on location
Qualifications:
* Education: No Education Required
* Experience: 6 months of experience
* Licenses/Certifications:
* Current CNA Certification in the State of Practice
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross
Responsibilities:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) 2, assists nursing personnel in providing patient care in assigned areas. Performs other skills/tasks as identified by the unit/department that require a unique body of knowledge/skills.
* Performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.
* Documents information in patient record.
* Performs various direct patient care activities under direction of licensed patient care provider.
* Communicates information with patient care providers and other nursing staff members to facilitate patient care.
* Assists physicians and other nursing staff members with procedures as appropriate.
* Performs tasks and procedures as ordered by the physician or licensed provider consistent with approved protocols, policies, and procedures.
* Performs tasks that require a unique body of knowledge and skills for that area of service.
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Education: No Education Required
* Experience: 6 months experience
* Licenses/Certifications: Current CNA Certification in the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
