The CMMS/ Asset Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting both CMMS and Inventory Management operations. This role is responsible for reviewing and analyzing data, reporting anomalies in data, assisting in the development of action plans addressing anomalies, and providing project support to optimize CMMS and delivery, while also guiding and executing the asset inventory process for preventative maintenance (PM) of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety equipment. This position supports preventive maintenance operations by ensuring reliable data integrity, conducting asset inventories, and identifying process improvements in collaboration with field and corporate teams.
This position works cross-functionally with Operations, Field Support, and vendor partners. This role ensures accurate asset documentation, provides database expertise, and supports the enhancement of Medxcel' s CMMS tool to unlock both operational efficiency and financial performance.
This position will be Remote- Home Office.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Operations and Field Support teams to improve field service delivery through reporting, analytics, and project coordination.
* Conduct onsite asset inventories in partnership with preferred vendors, ensuring compliance with PM procedure standards.
* Provide real-time feedback and technical support to field teams and corporate stakeholders.
* Maintain and optimize the organization's asset inventory database, ensuring accurate and current equipment records.
* Support the integration and continuous improvement of CMMS capabilities across operational teams.
* Deliver training and technical support to end users on systems and processes related to asset management and field support analytics.
Qualifications:
Education:
* High school diploma or equivalent- required.
* Bachelor's degree in a related field-preferred.
License/Certification:
* Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM)- preferred.
Experience:
* Two years of experience in data analysis, project coordination, or related role-required.
* Three years of experience working in a facilities management department- required.
* Experience with MS Field Services or similar CMMS platforms- required.
* Five years of experience in a healthcare setting-preferred.
* Experience with data visualization tools-preferred.
* Experience supporting or managing preventative maintenance programs-preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Strong strategic and analytical skills to interpret operational data and translate insights into action.
* Familiarity with healthcare facilities operations, regulatory compliance, and performance metrics.
* Skilled in planning, organizing, and prioritizing work with attention to detail.
* Flexible and adaptive in dynamic, fast-changing environments.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact across all organizational levels.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Familiarity with warranty management processes and OEM/AEM guidelines.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; self-starter mindset.
* Travel required: Up to 75% overnight.
