Overview:
At St. Luke's, our dedicated team of Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) strive to build a positive, supportive, and inclusive culture that delivers exceptional patient experiences in the ambulatory clinics.
We are currently hiring CMAs for direct part-time positions across several Treasure Valley clinics. Successful candidates will be hired directly into a specific clinic based on their interests, experience, and availability. Schedules range from 16 to 28 hours per week, offering flexibility and consistency.
Current part-time CMA openings include:
* Occupational health: 32-40 hours/pay period
* Boise Urology: 40 hours/pay period
* Oncology/ Chemo Infusion Clinic Boise: 62 hours/pay period

Qualifications:
Education
* High School Diploma or equivalent
Certifications
* Current BLS-CPR Certification from one of the following:
* American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, American Red Cross
* Current National Certification as a Medical Assistant from one of the following:
* NCCT, NAHP, AMT, AAMA, AMCA, or NHA
Responsibilities:
The Medical Assistant 2 is responsible for assisting licensed providers with patient care. Has working knowledge and skills developed through formal training. Works within established policies and procedures.
* Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts.
* Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Sterilizes, cleans, and performs checks on medical equipment.
* Prepares patients for examination.
* Provides technical, clinical, and clerical support to licensed independent provider.
* Performs medical procedures within scope of roles and responsibilities.
* Processes prescription medication for refill under the supervision of a licensed independent provider.
* Assists licensed independent provider in patient exams and office procedures.
* Prepares basic laboratory tests on premises and prepares laboratory specimens.
* Enters diagnostic or medication orders under the direction of a licensed independent provider.
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
* Experience: 0 years' experience
* Licenses/Certifications: Current recognized National Certification as a Medical Assistant and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
