What you can expect from this role
* A schedule of Thursday and Friday from 7:00-6:00pm.
* Serves diverse populations: pediatric, adult, and senior.
* Provides comprehensive front door care including wellness, acute, behavioral health, diagnostics, and pharmacy services.
* Emphasizes seamless care delivery through optimized workflows and cross-training.
* Utilizes consumer insights to inform and enhance practices, recommending explorative studies and new standards.
* Collaborates on developing, refining, and enhancing clinical programs, processes, and policies with care team.
* Conducts post-discharge outreach to reduce readmission risks.
Qualifications
Education
* High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
* 2 years' experience
Certifications
* Current BLS-CPR Certification from the American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association or American Red Cross
* Current recognized National Certification as a Medical Assistant from one of the following: NCCT, NAHP, AMT, AAMA, AMCA, or NHA
Responsibilities:
The Medical Assistant 4 is responsible for assisting licensed providers with patient care. This subject matter expert is also responsible to serve as a role model and resource to coworkers. Anticipates patterns and links; looks beyond the immediate problem to the wider implications. Generates new and innovative solutions to complex problems.
* Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts.
* Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Sterilizes, cleans, and performs checks on medical equipment.
* Prepares patients for examination.
* Provides technical, clinical, and clerical support to licensed independent provider.
* Performs medical procedures within scope of roles and responsibilities.
* Processes prescription medication for refill under the supervision of a licensed independent provide.
* Assists licensed independent provider in patient exams and office procedures.
* Prepares basic laboratory tests on premises and prepares laboratory specimens.
* Enters diagnostic or medication orders under the direction of a licensed independent provider.
* Resolves problems using advanced knowledge of procedures and policies.
* Performs difficult and complex work. Provides functional and technical direction to other staff members.
* May assist in the completion of the employee evaluation process, counsel of employees and/or may recommend discipline and other personnel decisions.
* May assist in the hiring process.
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
* Experience: 2 years' experience
* Licenses/Certifications: Current recognized national certification as a Medical Assistant and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
