ScheduleMonday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM What to Expect * A welcoming, team-based environment that values communication, connection, and mutual support * Hands-on involvement in patient care, including assisting with exams, procedures, and clinical tasks * Daily collaboration with providers, nurses, and fellow clinical staff to ensure smooth patient visits * Use of electronic medical records to chart accurately and uphold clinical standards * A focus on quality, safety, and a positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors QualificationsEducation * High school diploma or equivalent * Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program Experience * No exprience required Certifications * * Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross * Certified Medical Assistant through one of the following: * NCCT, NAHP, AMT, AAMA, AMCA, or NHA Responsibilities: The Medical Assistant 2 is responsible for assisting licensed providers with patient care. Has working knowledge and skills developed through formal training. Works within established policies and procedures. * Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. * Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Sterilizes, cleans, and performs checks on medical equipment. * Prepares patients for examination. * Provides technical, clinical, and clerical support to licensed independent provider. * Performs medical procedures within scope of roles and responsibilities. * Processes prescription medication for refill under the supervision of a licensed independent provider. * Assists licensed independent provider in patient exams and office procedures. * Prepares basic laboratory tests on premises and prepares laboratory specimens. * Enters diagnostic or medication orders under the direction of a licensed independent provider. * Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: * Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent * Experience: 0 years' experience * Licenses/Certifications: Current recognized National Certification as a Medical Assistant and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
