GFT is seeking a Project Engineer / Project Administrator FDOT CEI to join our Construction Services Team in Western Florida! This person can be located in Sarasota, Fort Myers, or Naples, Florida.

What you'll be challenged to do:
 This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced, motivated Project Engineer / Project Administrator FDOT CEI for our West Florida team who thrives in a collaborative team environment. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

*  Maintenance of construction project records in accordance with FDOT procedures.

*  Interface with the Owner, Contractor, and inspection staff on various facets of the project including review of contract plans and documents, day-to day construction activities and review of contractors' submittals.

*  Perform/oversee the review of daily inspection reports and quantity computations.

*  Respondents should have intimate working knowledge of FDOT District 1.

*  Receives general instructions regarding assignments and is expected to exercise initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems.

*  Directs and assigns specific tasks to inspectors and assists in all phases of the construction project

*  Responsible for the progress and final estimates throughout the construction project duration.

Qualifications:

What you will bring to our firm: 

* A Civil Engineering degree plus two (2) years of engineering experience in construction of major road or bridge structures
* For non-degreed personnel eight (8) years of responsible and related engineering experience, two (2) years of which involved construction of major road or bridge structures with the exception of Complex Category 2 (CC2) bridge structures.  
* To be in primary control, a Project Administrator must have supervised two or more inspectors as well as two or more support staff (Office Manager, Compliance Officer, and Secretary) and must have been directly responsible for all CEI services assigned

* CTQP Final Estimates Level II
* FDOT Advanced MOT
* Attend CTQP Quality Control Manager Course and pass the examination.
* A Master's Degree in Engineering may be substituted for one (1) year of engineering experience

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $115,000 - $135,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
