Overview:
Colliers Engineering & Design actively seeking a CADD Designer in our Water group to work closely with Engineers to perform high level design work in addition to drafting and project related tasks on assigned projects.
Our Water Discipline is growing, and we have exciting projects to engage motivated engineers who enjoy working on a variety of projects on or near the water. Our projects are unique designs and provide a diverse array of interesting work to keep our staff challenged and engaged. Our upcoming project portfolio includes jobs on some of the largest infrastructure projects in the country. Our dam and levee safety work backlog is strong and we are seeking engineers with an interest and expertise in all aspects of dam safety and waterway structures.

Responsibilities:
* Set up and detail plans by analyzing sketches, notes and other input material to determine the best approach for the completion of drawings.
* Work from sketches to produce computer-generated graphs, charts, overlays and isometric drawings including digital terrain models and surfaces.
* Calculate quantity takeoffs and prepare cost estimates.
* Perform high level design computations, earthwork calculations and prepare complete construction plans.
* Determine and calculate stormwater drainage areas and steep slope areas.
* Prepare concept layout plans.
* Perform grading, utility, stormwater and soil erosion/sediment control design.
* Conform to the company's standard CADD procedures for layering, etc., and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout.
* Work with numerous project teams to help in project completion.
* Coordinate details and dimensions between drawing sheets.
* Prepare project exhibits.
* Address assignments of increased difficulty as proficiency is increased.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of related experience.
* High School Diploma/Equivalent; Associates Degree or a Certificate from a technical school.
* Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D Land Desktop Companion, AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoTurn and other related software.
* Strong verbal and written communications skills.
* Possess and demonstrate the ability to lead effectively and efficiently, plan, organize and manage procedures, protocols and/or staff to achieve the desired results of specific projects and/or programs.
* Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
