Overview:
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a CAD Designer to join our Civil/Site Discipline in Phoenix, Arizona. Our CAD Designers work closely with engineers to perform high-level design work in addition to drafting and project-related tasks on assigned projects. They transform designs into CADD-produced drawings using appropriate software.

Responsibilities:
* Prepare and detail plans by analyzing sketches, notes and other input material to determine the best approach for the completion of drawings.
* Work from sketches to produce computer-generated graphs, charts, overlays and isometric drawings including digital terrain models and surfaces.
* Calculate quantity takeoffs and prepare cost estimates.
* Perform high level design computations, earthwork calculations and prepare complete construction plans.
* Determine and calculate stormwater drainage areas and steep slope areas.
* Prepare concept layout plans.
* Perform grading, utility, stormwater and soil erosion/sediment control design.
* Conform to the company's standard CADD procedures for layering, etc., and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout.
* Work with numerous project teams to help in project completion.
* Coordinate details and dimensions between drawing sheets.
* Prepare project exhibits.
* Address assignments of increased difficulty as proficiency is increased.
* Prepare CAD files for authorized media release to external parties / agencies
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma/Equivalent; Associates Degree or a Certificate from a technical school, preferably in AutoCAD.
* 5+ years of relevant experience.
* Ability to read, write and understand English to comprehend written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
* Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, associated plug-ins such as Vehicular Tracking, and other related software.
* Demonstrate general computer skills, knowledge, and acumen (i.e., familiarity with Microsoft Office, etc.).
