Responsibilities:

As a CAD Manager, you will lead the production and quality of survey deliverables, manage CAD standards across projects, and serve as a mentor to the CAD team. This role is responsible for day-to-day oversight of CAD operations, resource planning, technical training, and ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables that align with client expectations. You'll be the go-to person for CAD-related questions and play a critical role in cross-functional collaboration between field crews, project managers, and technical staff.

* Manage and contribute to CAD workflows and deliverables for multiple projects 
* Develop, implement, and maintain CAD standards and templates to ensure consistency and quality across all projects
* Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to CAD technicians and junior staff
* Coordinate with project managers and field teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of survey data for drafting
* Conduct quality control reviews of drawings, plats, and other deliverables before submission
* Monitor workload distribution, team capacity, and project deadlines; adjust staffing or processes as needed
* Assist with recruiting and onboarding new CAD staff
* Support proposal writing and scoping efforts by providing time estimates and technical input
* Develop reports from accounting software to provide accurate project reporting
* Manage scope, budget, and QA/QC for assigned project duties
* Review performance data (financial, budgets, sales and activity reports) to monitor and measure productivity, goal progress and activity levels

Qualifications:

* 5+ years of experience in land surveying drafting, with at least 1-2+ years in a supervisory or lead role
* Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required; experience with MicroStation, Revit, or GIS platforms is a plus
* Strong technical knowledge of boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking
* Demonstrated leadership abilities in training, mentoring, and managing teams
* Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
* Professional Land Surveyor (PLS), Surveyor-in-Training (SIT), or other relevant certification preferred
* Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
