Overview:
The role of the Busser is ensuring our guests receive a positive and memorable experience in our dining areas. This is accomplished by setting and clearing the tables, and assisting servers with table service to ensure guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
* Quickly clear dirty table wipe it with moist towel or rag for resetting. Promptly and consistently reset all service-ware as prescribed.
* Read meal tickets and deliver food appropriately to tables based on meal ticket.
* Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen and condiments.
* Serve guests with beverages, breads and butter to begin their dining experience and replenish as necessary.
* Transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area for proper cleaning.
Qualifications:
* Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service-ware.
* Ability to do the same task over and over, frequently in the same way.
* Great Customer service skills and be courteous with the guest and staff.
* Requires interaction with people as relates to attending to needs, requests or the expressed or implicit wishes of people. Immediate response is required.
* A current food handlers' card for the State of Hawaii
* Current TB Clearance
* Patience, tact and diplomacy.
* Requires lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to understand verbal English to comprehend basic guest requests.
* Work as a productive team member by contributing positive energy.
* Perform the duties of the position in a safe manner.
* Be professional in all interactions with guests and associates.
