				Overview:

The business transformation architect acts as a specialized resource to senior operational leaders within supply chain, providing expert level consultation at the point of intersection of business processes and technology. With deep supply chain business acumen and expertise in digital information, this role guides strategic transformation planning and maintains the business capability and technical roadmap that supports the functional strategy. The business transformation architect is the organization's BOM Management champion, responsible for designing and optimizing the processes and systems that govern product data throughout the entire item lifecycle. They will collaborate with supply chain business owners and IT leaders to develop and prioritize technology and change initiatives, and champion their successful implementation. This role is responsible for driving thought leadership with business operations leaders, relative to new and emerging technology solutions, industry trends, and business process optimization opportunities, particularly related to BOM data management, that drive value creation. The business transformation architect acts as the authoritative subject matter expert overseeing the success of business and technology transformation initiatives, including the strategic use and mapping of complex BOM hierarchies and other critical product data.

This position will work hybrid based out of Austin, TX or Lincolnshire, IL.

Responsibilities:

* Designs, implements, and oversees enterprise capabilities, aligning technology and business strategies to deliver scalable, efficient, and value-driven solutions.
* Develops and maintains a deep enterprise understanding of the core and supporting supply chain processes, including the people, resources, systems, and critical data flows involved.
* Act as the organization's "BOM Management Champion," designing and optimizing the processes, hierarchies, systems, and governance pertaining product data.
* Lead cross-functionally within and across assigned business unit or functional organization to support complex transformation opportunities with an outcome based mind-set, ensuring investment decisions deliver on business needs.
* Maintains expert level knowledge on business and technology trends that impact the business environment. Leads internal and external resources to research and offer industry insight to operational leaders to help shape strategic priorities.
* Leads teams to provide recommendations on process, capability, and technology changes to enable the realization of the business strategy.
* Bridges the gap between strategy and execution to ensure success of
* transformation initiatives. Acts as a link between business and technical experts when designing and implementing technology solutions.
* Helps shape the business process and technology roadmap to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
* Ensures architecture documents are developed and maintained describing the business operations at an appropriate level to understand overall processes and technologies.
* Maintains deep understanding of primary business functions within the operation and distinguishes between customer-facing, supplier-related, business execution and business management functions.
* Defines the set of strategic, core and support processes that transcend functional and organizational boundaries; identify and describe external entities such as customers, suppliers, and external systems that interact with the business; and describe which people, resources and controls are involved in the processes.
* Creates business capability roadmaps and assesses process gaps between the current and future states.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

* Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related
* 12+ years of of progressive experience in roles that combine business process analysis, systems architecture, and large-scale project leadership, preferably within a manufacturing or technology company.
* Supply Chain & Data Expertise:
* Deep expertise in Bill of Materials (BOM) management, including an understanding of complex, multi-level BOM structures and hierarchies
* Expert knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes and related systems
* Strong supply chain business acumen, with a deep understanding of core functions like new product introduction (NPI), sourcing, manufacturing, and sustaining engineering.
Demonstrated experience with data governance principles and applying them to master data domains like items, parts, and suppliers.

* Ability to travel 25%
* Must be able to work hybrid in Lincolnshire, IL or Austin, TX office

Preferred Education:

* Master's Degree Preferred in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related
* Business-systems architecture and design expertise
* Broad background in Supply Chain Management functional areas
* Demonstrated knowledge / experience within outside of the Supply Chain (Finance, Engineering, etc)
* Business process improvement expertise; Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
* Demonstrated success leading business and systems transformation projects
* Knowledge of business applications supporting Managed and Support Services; Oracle Cloud, Siebel, SFDC, E2Open, InContact, EDI/B2B Technologies preferred
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Advanced communication and facilitation skills, including conflict management. Formal training preferred.
* Strong presentation skills with the ability to influence all levels of management
* Knowledge of Managed Support and Services (MSS) business processes, including technical support and repair.
* Previous consulting or client service delivery experience
