				Overview:

WHO YOU ARE AT PANASONIC CANADA:

Panasonic Canada Inc. is currently looking to hire for the position of Business Manager - HVAC Ventilation.

Develops, implements, and monitors the effectiveness of Product Marketing strategies for Mechanical Devices, to achieve sales, profit, inventory and other business objectives.  Reviews applicable market research, sets prices, keeps up to date on new product development.  Manages the relationship between PCI and the respective factories to ensure consistent flow of products, related product information and documentation, ensure product pricing is competitive.  Assists in the development of the business plan, and leads PSI forecast.

This is a full-time position. 

This position is hybrid. Any office-based work will be performed from our Mississauga office at Ambler Drive.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

* Product Management - Reviews purchase and sales levels, pricing, operating margins, costing, and sets market pricing and discount structures, for assigned products and ensure ongoing business plan objectives are met.  Ensures that prices lists are maintained and appropriately delivered for all product categories.  Assists in the development of the business plan and department budget.  Reviews, and recommends changes to PSI forecast to ensure it will satisfy new product launch, or promotional requirements.

* Marketing Programs - Upon approval implements marketing programs including communication to sales force, suppliers, and distributors.  As required works with Corporate Brand Management  to develop media or for use in packaging, displays or brochures.  Develops contests, coordinates exhibits, shows, customer presentations, product launches and internal events.   Sources and orders promotional materials, ensures timely processing of approved co-operative advertising programs, and ensures proofreading of all layouts is completed.

* Factory Liaison - Manages the relationship between PCI and the respective factories to ensure consistent flow of products, related product information and documentation, and ensures product pricing is competitive. Directly undertakes price negotiations with factories.  Keeps up to date on new product development.  Provides feedback to the factory regarding market conditions, expectations, and recommend changes.

* Market Research - Reviews and analyzes market research produced by third parties keep up to date on market trends and other conditions affecting products such as economic, demographic, competitor information, dealer and distributor specific profiling, market size, penetration, marketing practices, and sales trends.

* Oversees the work performed by logistics staff in connection with the needs of key accounts, the annual volume rebate program, agent commission, credit notes and the administration of promotional program dockets.

* Prepares a monthly review of the business for the Director outlining wins/losses, challenges and opportunities.  Demonstrates in-depth understanding of the business and all of the levers required to win.  Presents new strategies and report on prior tactical executions supporting prior strategic initiatives.  Outlines requests and present business cases for those initiatives. Provides updates on ongoing projects.

* Engages in customer facing activities as requested by management and colleagues. Assists in preparation of presentation materials and maintain once developed

* Develops and maintains a 2 year (minimum) product roadmap for all assigned lines of business and review quarterly with management.

WHAT YOU'LL EARN:

The annual/hourly wage range for this position is $75,000 - $105,000 CAD. 

In addition, the position of Business Manager - Mechanical Devices is eligible for a maximum annual bonus of 25% of the base salary based on achievement of predetermined objectives.
