Responsibilities:

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Business Intelligence Specialist to join our team. In this position, you are primarily responsible to respond to senior management data request by identifying and applying the optimal data analytics-reporting tool to produce reports that accurately reflect the desired data, this position is a support role for the BI Team.

* Collaborate with Analytic Team members to triage issues, resolve escalated tickets and brainstorm creative ideas
* Continually exhibit a continuous process improvement mentality
* Manage an Active Directory for various Operational Reports in IBM Cognos (adding, removing)
* Read and write SQL statements
* Seek technical training for up-skilling
* Triage operational request by identifying the optimal data analytics-reporting tool.  
* Understand how Data Models and Data Sets work for Operational Reporting
* Utilize IBM Cognos to build Operational Reporting for stakeholders across the organization (build, maintain, edit)
* Utilize Microsoft Office Products to conduct business (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint) 
* Utilize Service Desk Plus to keep track of Operational Reporting tasks and ensure deliverables are completed within reasonable timeliness
* Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization to gather Data Requirements or clarify needs
* Work with the Analytics Manager to determine weekly priorities
* Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Employment is contingent on

* Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)

Required Education and/or Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field, required 

Preferred Education and/or Experience

* Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant professional experience in a related field such as; Business, health care, engineering, information systems, finance, statistics or mathematics discipline, or
* Master's degree with 1+ year of relevant professional experience in a related field such as; Business, health care, engineering, information systems, finance, statistics or mathematics discipline
* Professional experience with reporting and systems software (IBM Cognos preferred), Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Lists; Access preferred), SQL (Snowflake preferred), and Tableau (or Power BI)
* Certification in quality improvement, business analytics, business intelligence, or data science is preferred
