				Overview:

Valiant Solutions is seeking multiple Senior Business Analysts to support our agile software development practice and support an environmentally focused federal government client. The agency's programs aim to promote environmental sustainability and protect our planet's natural resources. As part of this contract, we will support the agency's efforts to modernize their portfolio of information systems that facilitate the tracking and reporting of environmental data. The successful candidates will critically analyze, design, and implement solutions to modernize legacy systems, enhancing efficiency and business value.

As a Senior Business Analyst, the role will involve working closely with stakeholders and internal project teams to conduct detailed analysis of business processes and systems. The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for eliciting requirements using interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis. The Senior Business Analyst works with architects and developers to design and validate solutions that meet business requirements and are aligned with the modernization goals. Solutions must be scalable, maintainable, and fit within the overall technology strategy. The senior business analyst will also support the project manager in tracking and managing project timelines and deliverables and will communicate progress and issues to stakeholders regularly.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
* Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent certification preferred
* Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile certifications are a plus.
* Proven experience in IT application modernization projects, preferably in a senior capacity.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Proficient in business analysis tools and methodologies, such as BPMN, UML, Agile, and Waterfall.
* Understanding environmental regulations and sustainability practices is a plus.
* US work authorization and the ability to favorably pass a federal background check to obtain a federal security badge. 

Responsibilities:

* Conduct detailed analysis of business processes and systems.
* Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
* Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
* Act as a liaison between the business units, technology teams, and support teams.
* Facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders to align on project goals and deliverables.
* Develop and document detailed business requirements and functional specifications.
* Work with architects and developers to design and validate solutions that meet business requirements and are aligned with the modernization goals.
* Assist the Project Manager in project planning, task prioritization, and resource allocation.
* Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
* Coordinate with QA teams to facilitate comprehensive testing and validation.

Methodologies and Tools:

* Requirements elicitation and documentation techniques include interviews, surveys, focus groups, use case scenarios, user stories, and requirements workshops.
* Business process modeling and mapping tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, and BPMN notation.
* Data modeling and analysis techniques such as entity-relationship diagrams and data flow diagrams.
* Agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
* Project management tools include JIRA, Azure DevOps, Trello, and Asana.

The salary range for this position is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. It has been benchmarked in relation to the scope of the role, market rate, and internal equity. The salary for this role is expected to be in the $115,500 - $137,000 range. Where a candidate falls within the band can be determined based on one or more of the following: skillset, experience level, achievements, education, geographic location, security clearance, involvement in corporate tasks, and other non-discriminatory factors. In addition to the base salary, this role will include benefits as described above.  Valiant reserves the right to adjust the salary range, experience requirements, and position responsibilities at any time without prior notice.
