				Building Operator (4th Class) - Vancouver

Talentcor Pro Properties and Facilities division are working in partnership with a high profile Real Estate and Property Management Company, looking to recruit a 4th class building operator to join their operations team in Vancouver

Responsibilities:

As the Building Operator you will be responsible for the management of the building in a safe manner and to an impeccable standard in order to maximize operational efficiency. Your core responsibilities will include the preventative and corrective maintenance of the buildings mechanical and electrical systems such as Boilers, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, lighting, roofing and life safety systems. You will also be involved with the supervision of contractors as well as some hands on maintenance.

The successful candidate holding a 4th Class Power Engineering ticket, must have 3-5 years working in a commercial and or residential buildings, with advanced knowledge of building maintenance systems, great communication skills, and computer literate.

Qualifications:

* 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate;
* Experience in general maintenance in a commercial, retail or industrial environment;
* Experience in physical plant operations, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire Alarm, Steam Heating and other related equipment and systems;
* Knowledge of building systems, life safety, and emergency procedures;
* Hands on general maintenance;
* Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act,  knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (WHMIS) and  First Aid and CPR training;
* Knowledge of Provincial Building Code & Regulations, Canadian Electrical Code, Provincial Fire Code and Electrical Safety Authority;
