				Responsibilities:

GFT is seeking a Bridge Project Manager with a PennDOT focus as well as City of Philadelphia, Septa and/or Amtrak experience to join our Pennsylvania Transportation Team. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our downtown Philadelphia office.

What you'll be challenged to do:

As an experienced Bridge Project Manager, you will provide mentorship, project management, strong client-facing skills and the ability to communicate and work across multiple operational groups and technical disciplines. Our goal is to continue to expand our bridge group and this role is pivotal to achieving this objective. Successful candidates will deliver best in class technical solutions to our clients on the design, delivery and management of projects across both public and private sectors.

A successful candidate will possess demonstrated experience in the analysis, detailed plan preparation of steel and concrete bridges, retaining wall design, as well as have an understanding of special provisions, scheduling, highway, geotechnical, right-of-way and the environmental process.

Position requires effective time management, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Successful candidate will be articulate with a professional presence and solid decision-making, planning and organizational skills. Responsibility for managing/overseeing scopes, schedules and budgets for projects and daily successful operation of all aspects of project delivery including customer interface.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:  

* Securing, planning, directing and monitoring all aspects of small to large scale multi-discipline bridge projects with a range of technical complexity, involving a diverse project staff. 
* Reinforcing and continuing to establish strategic market position/service offerings for the group to align with client needs and GFT strategic initiatives. 
* Oversight of activities related to Bridge Design, Bridge Rehabilitation and Bridge Inspection.  
* Serving as a Project Manager, Task Manager and/or Bridge Technical Advisor on Project Pursuits.
* Mentoring junior to intermediate staff

Qualifications:

What you will bring to our firm: 

* Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Masters Preferred.
* 10+ years of bridge related design experience with 5+ years at a project management level, managing a bridge/structures design group.
* PA PE required.
* Well versed in PennDOT design policies, standards and specifications
* Candidate should be well versed in the use of the AASHTO LRFD and LFD Bridge Design Specifications.
* Knowledge of AREMA preferred but not required.
* Position requires knowledge in the use of Microstation and/or AutoCAD.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word programs for business applications.
* Demonstrated success in managing preliminary and final design, preparation of construction documents, specifications, cost estimates, project scheduling and subcontractor management.
* Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication both written and verbal skills.
* Track record of successfully completing projects and team leadership.
* Experience in writing/development of project proposals and letters of interest.
* Solid client relationships, business development skills and willingness to help lead bid, proposal and presentation efforts.

 Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $155,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
