Responsibilities:

***This position is hybrid in-office/clinic and work from home.

Position Summary:

Under clinical supervision, provides a variety of mental health services that may include initial intake assessments, evaluations, rehabilitative services to individuals, families and groups, crisis intervention, and linkages and referrals to appropriate services. This position uses only therapeutic procedures approved by the Program Manager, adherence to the Welfare & Institutions Codes, and professional and ethical behavior at all times. The level of clinical autonomy required and provided is limited. Driving is required for this position.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

- Enrollment in a field placement traineeship or internship at Dignity Health Medical Foundation as part of a Master's Degree program in an appropriate behavioral science discipline.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate behavioral science discipline.
- Knowledge Skills & Abilities: 
DSM IV. Psychology of children and adolescents. Cultural and ethnic diversities of clients. Community resources. Treatment interventions. Normal and abnormal psychology. Assessment skills and crisis intervention. Treatment planning and intervention skills. Ethical and legal issues. Billing and documentation requirements. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Maintain an appropriate balance between direct client contact and documentation time. Adhere to all client confidentiality requirements and standards. Manage significant electronic paperwork functions necessary to support insurance billing. Ability to manage the case load and schedule to maximize productivity. Ability to effectively resolve conflict and cope with crisis situations. Skills in building groups. Developing treatment/intervention plans with multi-disciplinary team. Monitoring for medication and treatment interventions consultation case management of children and adolescents and linkage and referral services.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous employment experience in the mental health field.
