What does Record to Report do?
The Record to Report (R2R) process encompasses all the activities required to collect, process, and deliver accurate and timely financial reports within a company's accounting and finance function.
What does an R2R team or process do?
An R2R team is responsible for:
* Recording financial transactions
* Booking revenues, expenses, assets, liabilities, etc.
* Ensuring accounting data is correctly entered into the ledgers.
* Account reconciliations
* Comparing balances between systems or accounts (e.g., bank reconciliations).
* Identifying and correcting discrepancies.
* Financial closings (monthly, quarterly, annual)
* Ensuring all transactions are recorded before generating reports.
* Adjusting provisions, depreciation, and other entries.
* Generating financial reports
* Balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, etc.
* Reports for legal and regulatory compliance.
* Financial analysis and management reporting
* Comparing results to budgets, identifying variances.
* Supporting internal or external audits.
* Compliance with accounting and tax standards
Qualifications:
Students in accounting who meet the institution's requirements to complete a professional internship or apprenticeship program.
No prior professional work experience required.Established skills are needed to perform a variety of daily activities.
* English level: Intermediate to advanced (B1+ - C1).
* Mathematical and numerical skills.
* Basic knowledge of financial accounting, accounts receivable, or collections.
* Digital literacy and practical knowledge of relevant accounting software packages.
A good understanding of financial reporting principles. Demonstrates key competencies such as:

* Sense of urgency.

* Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
