Overview: Batcher Lead- Houston, TX The Batcher Lead is responsible for performing standardized qualitative and quantitative tests on work-in-process and finished products to ensure compliance with company Quality and Food Safety standards. The Batcher Lead is also responsible for providing training and guidance to a team of Syrup Batcher Technicians. Shift & Schedule: This is a full-time position working 12 hour shifts from 4:00 PM to 4:30 AM. Days will vary based on production needs. Must be flexible and available to work overtime and weekends as needed. Responsibilities: * Organoleptic and analytical analyses of products at various stages of production to ensure compliance with company Quality and Food Safety standards. * Understands chemical principles and theories related to analytical methods and instrumentation, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, Chemical Safety as well as housekeeping procedures. * Responsible for the maintenance of QA document and record control procedures, formula and specification control, consumer complaints, nonconforming materials and products, etc. * Train new personnel and existing laboratory staff/Syrup batchers on new procedures and techniques. * Conduct instrument and method development, perform validation programs on new processes and procedures. * Assist Quality Supervisor and Quality Manager with special projects as directed. Responsibilities: * 2 years of experience in batching, blending, and mixing * 3 years laboratory experience in a dairy, food or beverage manufacturing environment preferred * 2 years of experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, as well as Infinity QS and SAP preferred * Must have computer skills, with ability to accurately input data * Must possess good communication skills, and the proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. * Must possess the ability to effectively apply mathematical concepts and reasoning skills. * Must be able to complete forklift certification. Prior forklift experience is preferred. * Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time in a manufacturing environment. * Ability to frequently kneel, squat, bend, and stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motion Ability to spend significant time standing on the manufacturing floor with some frequency of computer work Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: * Lift, push and pull up to 50lbs. * Ability to bend, stretch and stand during entire shift. * Ability to frequently kneel, squat, climb stairs/ladders, stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motions * Ability to work in a variety of temperature and humidity conditions Qualifications: Keurig Dr Pepper (Nasdaq: KDP) is a leading beverage company with more than 150 owned, licensed and partner brands that meet a wide range of needs and occasions.
