An individual could be successful if they possess the following.

Responsibilities:

Prepares and sets dining room and service areas according to BEO and department standards.

  Greets guests and answer questions regarding food items, beverages and service.

  Ensures all course and beverages are served promptly. This included plated, buffet style or family style events.

  Maintains a professional appearance at all times, clean and well groomed as per standards.

  May present, open and pour wine.

  Assists with break down of salad dishes, glassware and linen.

  Follows all policy and procedures according to company and department.

  Maintains all work areas (cleanliness and safety) throughout shift, responsible for closing duties according to department standards.

  Maintains the highest standards of professionalism to guests and co-workers.

  Works quickly and under minimum supervision.

  Lifts, carries, pulls and pushes a maximum of 30 pounds.

  Other duties as assigned.

  Mixes and prepares drink orders, according to Hollywood's standards, garnish properly.

  Accurately operates cash register by ringing in all transactions, accepts payment and provides change.

  Requests stock and checks bar to monitor stock levels.

  Maintain cleanliness of bar and station.

  Prepare bars for the following shift by completing opening and closing duties.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   Maintains excellent relations with co-workers.

  Experience and training as a bartender.

  Basset certification.

  Communicates both verbally and written in English.

  Ability to focus and maintain attention and complete tasks despite frequent stressful, emergency, critical or unusual interruptions.

  Interacts in courteous, professional and rapid manner with all guest and staff.

  Responds quickly to all guest or staff requests.

  Performs a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.

  Must be able to stand and exert fast paced mobility for periods of up to 4 hours in length.

  Must have a good sense of balance, be able to bend and kneel.

  Ability to be self-directed and make decisions.

  Minimum 21 years of age.

  Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays depending on business needs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Equivalent to a high school education with knowledge of services and dining procedures is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be able to stand and exert fast paced mobility for periods of 4 hours in length. Standing and walking occurs 95% of the time.
