Responsibilities: The Barista is primarily responsible for preparing coffee drinks and food. Running the cash register for the coffee shop. Essential Functions: * Prepares coffee shop for serving beverage and food items * Prepares all product necessary for opening of business day * Follows correct procedures for brewing of all teas and coffees and follows guidelines concerning shelf life * Sets up all food items in accordance to schedule * Sets up deli and pastry case * Displays food items in an attractive manner. Replenishes and maintains quantities during serving hours * Sets up cash register and counts the cash drawer * Serves customers during business hours * Serves all beverages and foods according to recipes and demonstrates product knowledge Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience: One (1) to two (2) years of food service and coffee shop experience preferred.
