As a Banquet Set-Up Person, you will:
Shift: On-Call
Pay: $10.15 per hour plus tips
Responsibilities:
* Performs considerable physical activity on a continuous basis throughout scheduled shift.
* Executes set up of Banquet Event Orders (BEO) in accordance with instructions provided by Banquet Manager and/or Banquet Captain.
* Sets banquet rooms with proper tables, chairs, podiums, audio/visual equipment, platforms/stages, trash cans, linens, chair covers, glassware, and other equipment for meetings/events as instructed.
* Cleans and stores all tables, chairs, podiums, audio/visual equipment, platforms/stages, trash cans, linens, chair covers, glassware, and other equipment in an organized manner according to established procedures.
* Maintains clean and organized meeting rooms and storage areas by sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, removing carpet stains, and removing trash.
* Knowledge of various styles of banquet room set up.
* Knowledge of various types of banquet equipment.
* Assists fellow Banquet team members with polishing plates, silverware, and glassware.
* Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner.
Qualifications:
* Applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
* Ability to lift and move multiple tables, chairs, podiums, etc., weighing up to 100 lbs., as well as reach, bend, twist, stoop, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job in varying work areas.
* Ability to perform daily set-up and breakdown tasks individually and without direct supervision.
* Must have availability to work all days of the week with no set days off.
* Available to work shifts ranging from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
* Must have open availability to work Holiday Season (December 1st through December 23rd).
* Maintain a positive attitude.
* Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
* Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, decimals, fractions, etc.
* Must be able to read and write in English and have good verbal communication skills.
* Respond to visual and aural cues.
* Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
* Minimum of 18 years of age.
* Must become TiPS (alcohol awareness) certified.
