Responsibilities:
This position sets up function room tables, chairs, and any other necessary equipment according to prescribed layout; as well as, assists in the presetting, serving and breakdown of all function rooms.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for set up and breakdown in the hotel ballroom, salons, and pre function areas
- Maintain general cleanliness and maintenance in all areas of the Banquet Team
- inspects the tables, chairs and meeting rooms for repairs and advises management of needed repairs
- Review all banquet event orders and set sheets upon reporting to work & inspect all meeting rooms to insure proper set-up
- Attend all regular meetings
- Other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Good communication skills
- Computer literate preferred (Microsoft Office)
- Considerable knowledge of banquet set-up, tear-down, serving, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members at all levels of the organization (extremely articulate)
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with team members and customers
- Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English
- Ability to perform intermediate math
- Ability to plan and multi-task; certain degree of creativity is expected
- Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures
