Overview:
The Banquet Coat Check Attendant is responsible for the timely collection, storage, and distribution of coats, jackets and outerwear for guests attending Banquet & Catering functions at the hotel. This is a part time, seasonal position for fall, winter and early spring months.
Responsibilities:
* Collect, properly store/hang, and return coats, jackets, and outerwear to guests attending functions at the hotel.
* Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees.
* Be attentive of guests' needs and assist in providing a pleasant experience.
* Be knowledgeable of event location, timing and details from the Banquet Event Order.
* Communicate effectively and courteously, both over the telephone and in person.
* Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
* High School diploma or equivalent and/or related experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
* Must be at least 18 years of age
* Must have a hospitable / guest service demeanor
* Must have availability to work nights and weekends
* Flexible and long hours sometimes required
* Light work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
* Ability to stand during entire shift
