Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for providing friendly, courteous beverage service and beverage preparation in accordance with hotel standard procedures.   Essential Functions   - Prepare beverages in accordance with established procedures of the Hotel and Casino - Greet guests, take beverage orders from outlet service team members or directly from guests in the Hotel or on the Casino Floor - Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests - Follow proper cash control procedures - Practice proper par stock ordering procedures - Serve snacks or food items to guests seated at the bar where appropriate - Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol - Maintain a clean bar, assigned work area and area tables as needed - Maintain current knowledge of all policies and procedures concerning service of all alcoholic beverages - Oversee set-up/breakdown and cleaning of bar area - Comply with all health and safety standards - Attend regular meetings as scheduled - Maintain knowledge of current hotel activities, beverage outlets and operations - Other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Requires knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments - Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with team members - Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English - Ability to perform basic math - Ability to handle money and make correct change - Ability to understand and comply with all departmental and Company rules, regulations, policies and procedures - Great people skills required
