As a Bakery Clerk, you'll be at the heart of our bakery operations, ensuring every guest receives exceptional service. You'll assist guests in finding the perfect bakery items, take special orders with precision, and package products with care. Responsibilities:
What You'll Do:
As a Bakery Clerk, you will be responsible for:
* Provide Exceptional Guest Service: Providing excellent guest service is at the heart of what we do. Whether it's a friendly greeting, answering questions or addressing guest concerns, you'll handle each interaction with professionalism and care. Your willingness to help guests with what they need will make a positive impact every day.
* Assist guests in locating specific bakery items and handling special requests with care.
* Take accurate orders for cakes and other custom bakery products.
* Answer phone calls courteously and helpfully, providing information and assistance as needed
* Merchandising:
* Package and price items, maintaining quality and minimizing waste.
* Replenish bakery products to ensure availability and appealing display standards.
* Monitor and manage stock levels, restocking products promptly to meet demand.
* Food Safety:
* Ensure product freshness and presentation by rotating stock and removing outdated items.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, shelves, and the sales floor.
* Adhere to food safety protocols and maintain accurate records.
* Uphold Festival's quality standards, ensuring product quantity expectations are met promptly.
* Flexibility: Perform other duties as needed to support the team.
* Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.

Work Schedule: This position offers hourly pay with flexibility for both part-time and full-time hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on your availability.

Qualifications:
Job Title: Bakery Clerk

Reports To: Bakery Department Manager
Maintains stock levels in the bakery department by replenishing products as needed. Execute the boomerang theory by providing exceptional service to all guests.
Creativity in the form of food is the name of the game in our Bakery; Festival's bakery associates are here to enhance the special moments and occasions in our guest's lives by providing a fun & fresh bakery assortment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provides excellent services to all guests
* Assists guests with finding items they are looking for
* Takes orders for cakes and other special requests
* Packages and prices items from the service case
* Answers the telephone and assists guests using proper phone etiquette
* Packages prepared products
* Reduces shrink by using the appropriate packaging and filling each package with the correct quantity of product
* Ensures accurate pricing by placing the corresponding price and ingredient labels on each package
* Fills, rotates, and removes products from the sales floor
* Identifies which products are at an unacceptable stock level and replenishes them with available supply
* Maintains freshness by filling newer products to the back/bottom of the display and ensuring that closer dated products are sold first, as well as removing products that are outdated, stale, or otherwise unacceptable to make available for sale
* Maintains adequate level of supplies by replenishing packaging and other items as needed
* Contributes to overall cleanliness of the department by picking up, organizing, and cleaning work areas, shelving, and sales floor as needed
* Required to maintain food safety logs
* Ensure all quality standards are being met, including quantity expectations at 100% by 10 am and 5 pm
* Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
* Other duties as assigned

WORK SCHEDULE
