Overview: Location: Reading / Field-based Salary: Up to 50,000 depending on experience We are looking for an experienced BMS Engineer to join our Service & Maintenance team. You will play a key role in optimising energy performance and comfort control across a wide range of commercial, industrial and public sector buildings. Working in a field-based environment, you'll be responsible for maintaining, fault-finding and improving Building Management Systems, while delivering excellent service to our clients. Responsibilities: * Service and maintenance of Building Management Systems * Fault finding, diagnostics and energy performance reviews * Identifying, reporting and quoting for system repairs, upgrades and enhancements * Supporting continuous improvement of system efficiency and performance * Working closely with the Service Manager (or Managing Director when required) * Engaging professionally with clients and stakeholders at all levels Qualifications: Qualifications * Recognised and relevant qualification in BEMS * Appropriate trade qualifications * Current and relevant Health & Safety qualification Experience & Knowledge * Proven experience working with BMS Control systems such as Trend, Tridium, Siemens and RDM. * Experience in mobile, multi-site commercial environments * Strong understanding of HVAC systems * Experience working with CAFM systems in a field-based team * Solid knowledge of network architectures (TCP/IP, MSTP, RS485) * Strong understanding of communications protocols * Knowledge of field devices including sensors, valves, actuators, dampers, VSDs, switches and relays * Experience with supervisor software and control platforms Skills & Attributes * Ability to select, install, configure and update control hardware and logic * Comfortable working independently or under supervision * Strong communication skills, both internal and external * Proactive, adaptable and resilient * IT literate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Able to manage workload using own initiative in a fast-paced environment
