Join SoftwareOne and work alongside country or federation Sales & Services leadership, collaborating with Account Managers and technical pre‑sales teams to deliver tailored solutions and enable long‑term customer success.
The role
As an Azure Solutions Architect, you'll play a key role in helping customers design, adopt, and optimise Microsoft Azure solutions. Working across presales and delivery, you'll translate business needs into secure, scalable cloud architectures and support customers from early solution design through to successful implementation.
You'll be part of a collaborative cloud and solutions architecture community, working closely with sales, pre‑sales, and delivery teams to drive impactful customer outcomes.
What you'll do
* Partner with sales teams to understand customer goals and design Azure solutions that align with business and technical needs
* Guide customers through cloud journeys, including on‑premises to Azure and cloud‑to‑cloud migrations
* Design architectures that meet security, compliance, and networking best practices
* Present Azure solution designs clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
* Contribute technical input to RFPs and presales engagements
* Support delivery teams with architectural guidance and help resolve complex technical challenges
Qualifications:
What we need to see from you
* Proven experience designing and delivering solutions on Microsoft Azure
* Hands‑on experience with cloud migrations and hybrid cloud architectures
* Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, and networking principles
* Experience with CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g. GitLab)
* Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Puppet)
* Familiarity with container platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Docker
Nice to have
* Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer)
* Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
* Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
* Experience working in a customer‑facing or presales technical role
