				Overview:

The Ayurvedic Therapist will play a crucial role in delivering authentic Ayurvedic therapies and wellness treatments to our clients. You will have the opportunity to work in a serene and upscale spa setting, providing holistic healing experiences that promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Responsibilities:

* Client Consultation: Conduct thorough assessments and consultations to understand clients' specific health concerns, dosha (constitution), and wellness goals.
* Ayurvedic Treatments: Administer a range of Ayurvedic therapies and treatments, including Abhyanga (oil massage), Shirodhara, Panchakarma, Swedana, and more, tailored to meet each client's unique needs.
* Herbal Recommendations: Provide guidance on Ayurvedic herbs, diet, and lifestyle modifications to support clients' health and well-being.
* Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in therapy rooms, equipment, and tools used during treatments, adhering to spa standards.
* Documentation: Maintain detailed records of client assessments, treatments administered, and progress over time.
* Education: Continuously update your knowledge of Ayurvedic principles and practices to provide the highest quality service and share information with clients when necessary.

* Client Education: Educate clients about Ayurveda, its principles, and the benefits of specific treatments.
* Customer Service: Create a welcoming and comfortable environment for clients, ensuring they feel relaxed and cared for throughout their visit.
* Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other wellness professionals, including massage therapists, yoga instructors, and nutritionists, LMFTs, to create integrated wellness programs for clients.
* Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
* Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
* Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
* Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
* Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
* Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
* Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotels Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
* Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
* Comply with Highgate Hotels Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
* Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
* Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
* Must be able to cross-train in other hotel related areas.
* Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
* Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
* Perform other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:  

* Certified Ayurvedic Therapist with a recognized Ayurvedic institution.
* Prior experience working in a spa or wellness center preferred.
* Strong knowledge of Ayurvedic principles, doshas, and therapies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Exceptional customer service skills.
* Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
* Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Physical requirements: 

* Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
* Ability to stand during entire shift.
* Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
