We're hiring an Auditor Specialist to Live. Work. Explore. at the south rim of the Grand Canyon!
Job Summary:
Perform audits related to operating departments of the Grand Canyon South Rim.
The Details:
Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Pay: $18.90 per hour
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)
Housing: Eligible for a private room in a shared apartment; $267/month, payroll-deducted

Responsibilities:
* Controls and monitors daily bank handling forms, policy and procedures forms, alphabetical and banks issued logs, and key audits as updated by accounting personnel.
* Performs bi-weekly Pay Period End tips processing and provide back-up to Regional Payroll Administrator for payroll processing.
* Maintains an inventory of all safety deposit boxes; works with Regional Internal Auditor and locksmith when needed.
* Controls and monitors daily cash over and shorts for the Grand Canyon South Rim; reports findings to department heads and Regional Internal Auditor.
* Performs periodic bank, shift and compliance audits of all employees that have been issued banks or handle company funds for the Grand Canyon South Rim properties.
* Performs quarterly garage audits of vehicle mileage/activity logs and work in process.
* Performs monthly audits of garage forms (work/repair orders, tow receipts, etc.).
* Performs quarterly F&B QSA/void and self-banking server audits.
* Performs annual tips training audits.
* Performs quarterly audits of transportation taxi mileage logs and dispatch audits.
* Performs quarterly audit on cashier operation key box.
* Participates annually in inventories for the garage, F&B, retail, livery, maintenance, and purchasing departments.
* Assists Environmental Affairs department with site inspection of General Office.
* Complete timely and accurately the quarterly DEQ Tire tax reports for the Grand Canyon South Rim.
* Participates in the month-end closing process for the Grand Canyon South Rim as directed.
* Reconciles timely and accurately all assigned balance sheet accounts.
* Maintains, updates and revises as needed the auditor specialist desk policy and procedure manual.
* Cross trains in F&B Auditor and Mailroom Clerk positions.
* Develops and presents to the Location Controller and Regional Internal Auditor any matters requiring their approval/decision.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Minimum three (3) years prior accounting experience, preferably in auditing.
* Advanced computer skills in Excel and Word.
* Basic ten key and typing skills.
* Excellent oral and written communications skills.
* Ability to handle and strictly maintain confidential information.
* Must have a valid driver's license.
* Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Physical Requirements include:
Constantly: Sit, handle.
Frequently: Reach.
Occasionally: Stand, walk, reach, climb, squat/kneel, bend, lift/carry up to 50lbs, push/pull up to 100lbs.
