St. Luke's Hearing and Balance is one of the largest audiologist-led teams in the Northwest with 33 audiologists, 15 vestibular certified physical therapists, and 2 listening and spoken language speech-language pathologists.  We span 8 clinics in Southwest Idaho.  We pride ourselves on multidisciplinary teamwork and providing the highest quality of care to the communities we serve.

What you can expect as an Audiologist Extern at St. Luke's for this position:

* Starting at $16.82/HR
* Under the direct supervision of a licensed audiologist, assists in providing diagnostic and rehabilitative audiological services to patients.

*  Utilize accepted evidence based practice methods: Identify, assess and treat hearing problems and balance disorders. Discuss symptoms with patients.
* Complete documentation related to the diagnostic and rehabilitative services provided to patients.
* Fit, program, repair and modify hearing instruments.

Qualifications:

* Education: 
* A fourth year candidate for an Au.D or Ph.D in Audiology. 
* Referral from a University audiology program supervisor.

Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of a licensed audiologist, assists in providing diagnostic and rehabilitative audiological services to patients.

* Utilizing accepted evidence based practice methods: Identify, assess and treat hearing problems and balance disorders. Discuss symptoms with patients. 
* Complete documentation related to the diagnostic and rehabilitative services provided to patients. 
* Fit, program, repair and modify hearing instruments. 
* Perform administrative duties including filling out patient billing, equipment maintenance and cleaning, stocking of hearing aids and supplies, and purchase orders. 
* Under the supervision of a licensed audiologist conduct hospital visits, professional presentations, and community education seminars related to Audiology. 
* Maintain hearing aid inventory. 
* Participate in development and implementation of new clinic programs and services. 
* Participate in marketing activities. 
* Follow clinic procedures and protocols. 
* Attend staff meetings and in-services. 
* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Education: A fourth year candidate for an Au.D or Ph.D in Audiology. Referral from a University audiology program supervisor. 
* Experience: 0 years experience
* Licenses/Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
