As the Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) for Behavioral Health, you'll provide clinical and administrative leadership at the unit level-supporting staff through mentorship, performance management, staffing coordination, and ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality therapeutic care.
Our comprehensive inpatient Behavioral Health program includes:
* Geriatric - 16 beds
* General Adult Intensive Management - 24 beds
* Child & Adolescent (ages 7+) - 20 beds
* Dual Diagnosis - 15 beds
With a 7:1 patient-to-RN ratio, this leader plays a vital role in maintaining a safe therapeutic milieu, supporting crisis intervention efforts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and partnering with interdisciplinary teams to drive quality outcomes and patient satisfaction. This role supports patients experiencing mental health conditions, substance use disorders, life stressors, and stress-related physical symptoms-strengthening the connection between emotional well-being and overall health.
Preferred Skillsets:
* Behavioral Health experience preferred
* Experience in acute inpatient psychiatric or substance use settings
* Demonstrated leadership experience (Charge RN or informal leadership experience welcomed)
* Strong crisis intervention and de-escalation skills
* Knowledge of Behavioral Health safety and regulatory standards
* Experience with EMR systems (preferably Epic)
* Excellent communication and team-building abilities

Qualifications:
* Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. BSN, preferred. Graduate Degree, preferred.
* Experience: Minimum of two years of clinical RN experience, preferred. Prior demonstrated nursing leadership, preferred.
* Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required. Unit/Dept Specific Required Certifications.
* Additional Skills (required): Successful completion of generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Ability to successfully complete Leader Education & Training.
