About This Role
Hyland is seeking an Associate Security Vulnerability Remediation Specialist to join our Infrastructure Operations team. In this entry-level role, you will support the assessment and remediation of security vulnerabilities across Hyland's internal infrastructure, working under direct supervision alongside senior team members and Cyber Security. Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.
* Assist in reviewing vulnerability findings provided by Cyber Security and scanning tools to understand risk context, applicability, and remediation requirements under the guidance of senior team members.
* Execute assigned remediation tasks including patching, basic configuration changes, and updates across servers and endpoints following established procedures and documented runbooks.
* Support the maintenance and execution of existing automation scripts and tools used for patch deployment and configuration enforcement under supervision.
* Collaborate with Infrastructure team members to learn system environments, coordinate scheduled remediation activities, and escalate issues as needed.
* Track and document remediation activities, update tickets, and maintain records in compliance with team standards and SLA requirements.
* Partner with senior team members and Cyber Security to learn vulnerability identification processes while building foundational skills in Infrastructure-managed systems.
Role Essentials
* High School diploma or equivalent, with 1+ years of experience or basic exposure to IT infrastructure concepts through relevant coursework or internship experience.
* Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) in educational or lab environments, with a foundational understanding of security concepts and vulnerability terminology.
* Basic knowledge of systems and platforms, including Windows Server fundamentals (Active Directory concepts, DNS basics), Linux basic concepts, and Microsoft Azure fundamentals.
* Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP fundamentals, as well as endpoint management and patching basics.
* Oral and written communication skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact; strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
