Overview:
Shure has embarked on a multi-year, multi phased S4 journey. A green field approach is being taken to this transformational journey. The first two releases of S4 have been successfully implemented - Finance and Procure to Pay (Ariba). The goal is to complete the S4 journey and retire ECC over the next 3 years.
The application eco system at Shure includes SAP ECC, SAP S4, Salesforce, SharePoint, Boomi, Informatica, SAP Hybris and many other cutting edge technologies. Shure is headquartered in Niles, Illinois and has offices in over 26 countries including Germany, Hongkong, Japan, Juarez, China, UK. The SAP system is used to support all the key business processes including Manufacturing, Order processing and Invoicing, Procurement and Month end reporting.
In your role as Associate IT Director, SAP (Finance), you will play a critical leadership role within the SAP organization serving as a primary liaison and strategic business partner to the Global finance organization. You will also be responsible for providing the necessary expertise and management to drive the SAP Finance design and solutioning across ECC and S4 as the global owner, collaborate with the rest of the IT leadership team to ensure successful execution of Shure's S4 journey to enable the business transformation goals. A key success factor for this role is to establish trusted business relationships across all Shure locations and develop a strong understanding of the business and department strategic objectives, challenges and opportunities. This role will also work with the global business teams to identify opportunities to promote leading industry practices, streamline and drive business process improvements.
Provides direction, manages the work efforts of the SAP FICO team members and ensures quality solutions are delivered in a timely manner. This role will have responsibility for further enabling the necessary competencies, capabilities and skills within the SAP FICO team, enabling staffing decisions, performance appraisals, pay reviews and overseeing budget. Provides direction on development and adherence of internal processes of project delivery, support, resource planning, associate growth, vendor management, and promotion of technology solutions.
This position requires exposure to industry best practices and technology trends with the ability and interest to expand across technologies, when required.
This role will be hybrid, based in our Niles, IL location. We are also open to remote candidates for this role.
Responsibilities:
* Owns technology solutions for the finance area and related integrations including 3rd party bolt-ons used by the finance solutions/stakeholders across SAP ECC and S4 platforms and finance related deliverables for large, transformational, global projects.
* Responsible for providing the necessary finance solution architecture and design expertise to ensure overall success of ECC and S4 applications, including system management, reporting, and data management.`
* Examines and evaluates existing business processes as well as key challenges/opportunities within the key finance areas across planning, record to report and consolidations.
* Collaborates with senior business stakeholders to determine business priorities, assist with roadmap development and manage delivery expectations. Builds proactive, responsive relationships with the business to ensure alignment of business objectives with technology solutions.
* Assesses the current application stack and landscape to evaluate opportunities to further leverage and evaluate and provide recommendations for the use of new/existing technologies.
* Monitors and oversees adherence to leading Change Management practices, tollgate reviews, testing standards and proven project methodology. Enables consistent level of service and problem resolution.
* Provides project management oversight and recommendations for multiple transformation projects embedded in the overall program roadmap.
* Evaluates, examines and builds a high performing team to ensure quality solutions in the most cost effective and time efficient manner. Provides motivation, guidance, oversight and expertise to the team to ensure quality deliverables.
* Works with business partners to determine and present ROI and identification and building of performance metrics.
* Provides thought leadership on IT strategies.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in related field. Graduate coursework is desirable.
* Minimum of 10 years working experience with a heavy focus on finance solutions and at least 5 years of experience on large, transformational initiatives in a fast paced, complex environment
* Minimum of 3 years of people management responsibility.
* Success in organizations that has manufacturing, sales and marketing, engineering, distribution with finance functions that span multiple global locations with complexities around handling Taxation, Accounting principles, Currency revaluations, Consolidations, Reporting, Profitability analysis, Costing, Compliance, Inter company, country specific regulatory needs etc.
* Experience leading and driving large, global, transformational initiatives.
* Demonstrated ability to work on complex issues of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
* Demonstrated experience in determining the best use of resources to meet goals of assignments received in the form of objectives.
* Able to lead cooperative efforts among members of project teams onshore and offshore.
* Able to develop and administer schedules and establish performance requirements.
* Experience with preparing and adhering to a budget.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills with strong emphasis on customer service.
* Knowledge and integration experience handling 2 ERP systems (SAP-ECC, SAP S4), Business Intelligence, Data platform, Third party tools like CCH-Tax engine, Paymetric etc.
* Able to direct the activities of the finance team in coordination and aligned with the key IT directors in SAP, Data, Digital commerce and Infrastructure.
* Previous experience working with other senior managers with establishing strategic plans and objectives.
* Past interaction and influence with senior finance leaders.
* Past experience having overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending, and implementing change.
