Overview: The Associate Director Recognition, Donor Experience & Engagement oversees initiatives including recognition process management, donor recognition plans, major donor benefits, and other programs for a VIP donor base. Accountable for executing all recognition projects within budget and on time, the Associate Director will ensure alignment with recognition policies and standards. The position will participate in the development and implementation of the annual recognition operating plan and will lead a team of three staff. Responsible for assisting the entire Division with reaching financial goals. Reports to the Director, Donor Experience & Engagement. The onboarding of this role will include a comprehensive training process which includes completion of online modules, shadowing colleagues, as well as hands-on learning experiences throughout the first calendar year in the role. Responsibilities: * Manage an Assistant Director and an Officer and oversee the implementation of initiatives such as: * Creation and execution of recognition processes and best practices; * Development of donor recognition plans for select donor audiences; * Donor recognition displays creation and maintenance; * Recognition gifts program and catalog; * Patient partner program for three flagship events; * ThankView communications platform; * Responsible for participating in the strategic planning process related to new concepts and initiatives and translating Institute-wide initiatives and funding priorities into targeted programs; * Responsible for evaluating effectiveness and impact of recognition programs; * Responsible for building strong relationships with teams to provide proactive, streamlined recognition initiatives and deliverables; * Responsible for project time tracking in QuickBase system and oversight of direct report tracking; * Assumes other duties as necessary. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Oversee a team of three (3). Directly supervises an Assistant Director and an Officer. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 6-8 years of relevant work experience. * Direct report management experience required. * Significant donor and volunteer management experience strongly preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: * Strong people management and leadership abilities. * Project management experience. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Strong writing and editing skills. * Strong communication and human relations skills. * Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment. * Effective in working with wide audiences (including highest level of Dana-Farber constituencies). PATIENT CONTACT: No. WORKING CONDITIONS: This position is considered remote, 0-1 days onsite at 10 Brookline Place, Brookline, MA each week. Local travel required.
