Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced AWS Security & Cloud Defense Specialist to strengthen the security posture of our customers' cloud environments. You will lead Well-Architected Reviews (WAFR), conduct deep-dive security assessments, and support managed SOC operations to ensure workloads are secure, resilient, and aligned with AWS best practices.
This is a hands-on specialist role for someone who excels in both preventive cloud security and real-time threat detection, investigation, and response.
What You'll Do
* AWS Well-Architected Framework Reviews
* Conduct pillar-wise WAFR assessments across Security, Reliability, Performance, Cost, and Operational Excellence.
* Identify risks, misconfigurations, and resilience gaps.
* Present risk-ranked improvements to technical and business stakeholders.
* Cloud Security Assessments
* Review AWS IAM architecture, networking security, WAF, SG/NACLs, logging, monitoring, and compliance alignment.
* Map environments against CIS benchmarks and AWS best practices.
* Recommend hardening strategies and remediation plans.
* Cloud Threat Defense & SOC
* Monitor AWS logs and telemetry to investigate alerts and anomalies.
* Perform incident triage and support containment activities.
* Tune detection rules, reduce false positives, and enhance threat detection logic.
* Security Control & Hardening
* Evaluate and strengthen GuardDuty, Security Hub, CloudTrail, Config, KMS, and Identity controls.
* Identify attack paths and exposure risks across multi-account AWS environments.
* Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
* Prepare assessment reports, SOC summaries, and risk insights.
* Communicate technical findings in clear, business-impact language.
Qualifications:
* Strong hands-on expertise in AWS security architecture and the shared responsibility model.
* Deep understanding of AWS IAM, VPC security, logging & monitoring, and edge protection (AWS WAF / Shield).
* Proficiency with GuardDuty, Security Hub, CloudTrail, Config, KMS, and AWS Organizations.
* Experience in incident investigation, log analysis, correlation, and detection engineering
* Ability to analyze cloud-native threat patterns and triage real incidents.
* Strong understanding of misconfiguration detection, CIS mapping, and remediation planning
*
Experience conducting AWS Well-Architected Reviews.
* Exposure to compliance frameworks (PCI, ISO, etc.).
* Cloud security posture assessment or SOC experience.
* Relevant certifications: AWS Security Specialty, AWS Solutions Architect, or other cloud security/IR certifications
