Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Sr. Category Manager - Small Format, the Associate Category Manager - Convenience will lead data-driven initiatives that uncover growth opportunities and improve performance across multiple retail partners, with a focus on the convenience store channel. This role will be critical in transforming syndicated and customer-specific data into meaningful insights that influence sales strategy, promotional planning, and retail execution. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams in sales, category management, and marketing, delivering insights that move the business forward.

Note: This role is fully remote and must be based in Iowa, Dallas, TX or Atlanta, GA.

Key Responsibilities (job responsibilities may vary by state depending on regulatory and compliance standards for the state):

* Demonstrate the ability to synthesize & leverage multiple data points/insights (shopper, consumer, category, product) to create retail strategies on Assortment, Merchandising and Shelving that unlock growth.
* Analyze syndicated and customer data (Nielsen, Circana, retailer systems) to identify opportunities within key retail and convenience store channels.
* Partner with category managers and convenience store account teams to build data-backed recommendations and business reviews.
* Create dashboards and data visualizations (Power BI, Tableau) to track KPIs and identify trends.
* Monitor Competitive Launches and their impact on business.
* Build reporting for Space to Sales analysis across customers.
* Work on updating POS data reporting on monthly and quarterly basis.
* Prep, cleanse, and integrate multiple data sources for a complete analysis.
* Develop reports and tools that improve the use of data across the organization.
* Stay current on convenience store channel dynamics, trends, and compliance requirements.
* Manage ad-hoc analytics projects and support reporting automation to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

Must Have

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, or related field
* 3+ years of analytical experience in CPG, alcohol beverage, retail, or a related industry
* 1+ year of retailer or customer-facing experience
* Strong ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
* Proven organizational, prioritization, and project management skills
* Self-starter with capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Strong critical thinking, initiative, attention to detail, and creativity
* Excellent communication and presentation skills; effective at collaborating across remote teams
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Curiosity and openness to new approaches in data analysis
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; advanced expertise in Excel
* Skilled in data visualization and dashboard tools (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent)
* Experience with syndicated platforms such as Circana (IRI), Nielsen, and Numerator
* Willingness to travel 5-10%
* Ability to work remote
* A valid driver's license

* Experience in Spirits
* Familiarity with convenience store channel
