Overview:
Seeking a motivated and analytically driven Associate Actuary to drive strategic pricing and advanced research projects within our Workers Compensation Pricing group. This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to work on meaningful business problems and collaborate with a fun, engaged and highly talented team.
You will be responsible for developing state rate indications, pricing large accounts, building, maintaining and enhancing monitoring tools, and leading research projects to support pricing strategies. You will apply actuarial methodologies to assess rate adequacy at both an aggregate and segmented level, while generating actionable insights that directly inform underwriting and business decisions.

Responsibilities:
* Produce state rate indications. Analyze trends, loss development and other underlying data to select assumptions. Collaborate with business partners to determine the rate need based on actuarial and other business considerations.
* Analyze segments of business for profitability, trend, and growth opportunities. Present insights and propose actions that support profitable growth.
* Partner with Product, Underwriting, and Data Science departments
* Communicate results clearly and concisely to senior leadership.
* Build, Maintain and enhance dashboards and reports
* Responsible for actuarial research projects, interpreting results and providing recommendations
* Lead state filing rate support, produce exhibits and respond to regulatory objections
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
* ACAS or FCAS
* 5+ years of property-casualty commercial insurance experience,
* Strong analytical and communication skills are a must
* Extensive knowledge of Excel and SQL. Power BI and Git skills are a plus
* Workers Compensation experience preferred or experience supporting commercial lines products, including rate filings
