About This Role
Hyland is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Associate Account Manager to support existing customer accounts with a strong focus on sales operations and day-to-day commercial support. This is a non-quota carrying role, ideal for someone earlier in their career who is operationally strong and eager to grow within Sales or Sales Operations. Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.
* Support existing customer accounts throughout the sales process, partnering closely with Sales and Sales Operations to ensure seamless execution.
* Assist with deal execution, including pricing, quoting, approvals, and coordination with Deal Desk and Legal.
* Respond to non-technical customer inquiries related to pricing, contracts, renewals, and billing; participate in client follow-up calls and occasional customer-facing projects (approximately 30% client interaction).
* Maintain accurate account and opportunity information in the CRM; develop and communicate accurate sales forecasting on a real-time basis.
* Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth sales processes and a strong customer experience; support team members on accounts designated as strategic by Sales Management.
* Grow knowledge of the company's software solutions and best practice sales and account management methodologies; regularly contribute ideas to improve account management processes.
Role Essentials
* 2-3 years of experience in sales, sales support, sales operations, account coordination, or a related commercial role.
* Very strong English communication skills, with a clear, confident, and professional style; able to communicate assertively when needed; demonstrated ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively across teams.
* Strong analytical and numerical skills; Excel experience is key to success in this role.
* Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight; self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environment.
* Growth mindset and interest in developing within a commercial or sales operations career path; travel up to 5-10% as needed.
What We'd Like to See (Preferred Skills)
* Experience with quoting or pricing tools; familiarity with CRM platforms for managing account and opportunity data accurately and efficiently.
* Experience supporting strategic accounts in a commercial or sales operations environment, with a customer-first approach.
* Ability to develop and communicate accurate sales forecasts in a real-time, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
* Familiarity with deal desk processes, contract management, and cross-functional collaboration with Legal and Finance teams.
* Demonstrated interest in market trends and best practices within sales, account management, and commercial operations.
