We have immediate opening for a full-time Assistant Team Leader in our Kiln Department on our 1st shift.

Days and Hours:

Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Responsibilities:

The Assistant Team Leader must be able to perform at an entry level while directing and coordinating activities of the Finishing/Grinding department. The right individual will assist the Finishing/Grinding Department Team Leader to meet production schedules, maintain quality standards and ensure a safe work environment. Will assist the Team Leader in resolving discrepancies and production issues.

The production schedule runs over a three (3) shifts. The assistant team leader would work a normal first shift, but must be flexible when needed. In addition, must be able to  able to stand for long periods of time

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:

* High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
* 1+ year of on the job training and or supervisory experience department specific

Preferred Education / Experience Requirements:

* Associate Degree and or Vocational / Technical Education or Technical Training Certificate
* 1+ years on the job training and or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Demonstrates leadership, motivation & people management
* Strong technical aptitude and knowledge
* In depth knowledge of performance metrics
* Ability to use any equipment required in the functioning of assigned production department
* Ability to operate CMS / ERP system effectively
* Developed math skills and mechanical aptitude
* Working knowledge of statistical process control
* Ability to manage multiple production areas
* PC / Computer skills necessary to schedule operations
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and meet demanding time schedules
* Strong organizational skills, time management, scheduling and prioritization skills 
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Ability to perform interviews and conduct team member annual performance evaluations
