				Overview:

Colliers Engineering & Design is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager, or higher level, to join our Water Resources team in New York! To be considered, we ask that candidates are a licensed professional engineer.  

Water is the most plentiful, yet critical resource on the planet. Our water resources professionals specialize in critical practice areas, understand watershed dynamics and offer an extensive range of water resource planning and design experience, flood risk management, dam safety and environmental compliance. Our holistic approach to water resources projects ensures the best outcome for our clients and the ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

* Oversee the work and productivity of project staff on assigned projects.
* Strive to achieve predetermined goals for profit, productivity targets, and schedule of deliverables. 
* Assist in preparation of effective work plans and labor budgets.
* Ensure all project work is performed and completed in accordance with QA/QC standards, systems and procedures as designated for project.
* Monitor project costs to ensure that project is delivered within budget, fulfills customer expectations, maintains profitability, and/or aligns with the company strategic objectives.
* Coordinate and communicate effectively with all employees involved in the project to ensure high utilization rates.
* Review monthly labor and cost reports to ensure projects are being completed at the pre-established goal.
* Assist with mentoring junior staff in learning sound technical and business practices and enhancing corporate objectives.
* May oversee the activities of assigned staff, including but not limited to timesheet review and approval, performance evaluation and daily supervision.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, hydraulic/hydrologic, and/or water resources engineering is required; Master's degree or PPM Certification is preferred.
* 8+ years' experience managing task orders for Flood Risk Management, Ecosystem and Coastal Restoration, Dam Safety and/or Waterway Structures projects.
* Prior experience working on USACE and/or SFWMD projects and contracts.
* PE license required. 
* Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D. 
* Coastal and/or island engineering experience is a plus.  
* Ability to manage and lead multi-disciplinary teams to meet schedule, budget, and quality goals.
* Ability to identify, pursue, and win work from existing and new clients.
* Some travel may be required for this position.
* Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Compensation: $108,000 to $132,000 per year (depending on qualifications)
