What You'll Get To Do

To lead and manage procurement operations for Panasonic Procurement Corporation of America (PPA), with direct oversight of SCM Planners and coordination with Panasonic factories (North, Middle, South America) and Business Division (Japan). This role ensures efficient supply chain management, strategic vendor negotiations, and accurate monthly reporting to senior leadership

Team Leadership and Oversight: 
* Provide strategic direction and daily supervision to SCM Planners specializing in operations, contract negotiation, and new business development. 
* Foster collaboration, ensure performance goals are met, and support professional business development.

Customer Coordination: 

* Serve as the primary liaison with the Panasonic factories at North, Middle, South America (Maily at Mexico factory), leading procurement negotiations, resolving supply chain issues, and ensuring alignment with customer expectations and production schedules.

Monthly Reporting: 

* Analyze and manage key performance indicators including procurement sales, profit margins, inventory levels, and cash flow. 
* Prepare and present comprehensive reports to the Accounting Department and President of PPA.

Administrative Duties:

*  Oversee master data accuracy, manage accounts receivable/payable, and ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and
procedures.

Qualifications:

What You'll bring

Education: 

* BA/BS in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
preferred.

Experience: 

* 5+ years in global procurement, with leadership experience.

Skills: 

* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel required, Power BI preferred); strong analytical and
negotiation skills.
* Strong procurement experience
* Building relationships with factories

Language: 

* English required; Japanese language required

Travel:

* Travel to Mexico possibly 1-2 times a month

The wage range of $95,000 - $105,000 is just one component of Panasonic's total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. *The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
